Yeast infection or something else?
I’ve had a thick whitish yellow discharge (for as long as I started having discharge at all, I’m 15). My (what’s it called… labia?? i dunno) is red and has bumps. It used to itch occasionally but it hasn’t in recent weeks. I’ve been on a self-prescribed candida cleanse diet for about a week and a half now but it hasn’t done much yet. I probably just haven’t done it long enough considering how long i’ve had the infection. I have my period every month, and I’m a virgin.
Let me know if you need any more information. Any help would be really appreciated!
Were you properly diagnosed by a doctor? Self-medication in yeast infections is only recommended if you’ve already had one and really know what it’s all about. A white, thick discharge is sometimes released during the days before your period, but it doesn’t have any smell at all. Itching due to yeast is maddening, sometimes affecting the anal area, too. And it can sting when you wash.
I think it would be much better to get properly diagnosed and work your way from there. Yeast infections don’t mean you’ve had sex or sexual contact, it just means that the acidity balance of your skin changed, but it can also be a sign of diabetes, so please go to the doctor, nurse or clinic.

It sounds like yeast to me.. but, you should go see your doctor. If it is yeast there are several medicines that you can take that will clear your infection up quickly. But, I’d still avoid sugar, bread, and fruits. Make sure that you’re eating yogurt with live cultures and taking a live culture supplement (acidophillis/ probiotics). Good luck!
