Can a prolonged yeast infection cause infertility?
I had been ttc for five months, i think i may have a yeast infection but the symptoms come and go, we have had no luck so i didn't know if the infection was to blame. seeing my doc tm btw.

The reasons why some STDs cause infertility because they eat you up and the produce acid which cause scarring. Yeast feeds off of sugar and it doesn't produce acid.
Besides, the organism that causes yest infections are naturally found in most everyone as normal flora and a yeast infection occurs only when there is an over growth of this organism.
Many people have trouble conceiving, usually due to hormone imbalances. The average length of time it takes people to conceive is about 6 months. So although it can be depressing, I don't think you should neccessarily worry yet. But getting checked by a doctor is a good idea in case there are any problems that can be fixed. Plus, it may not be a problem of yours, it could be your husband, so they should check him out too.

Yes, it can and the medications one takes for them also for that prolonged time can make it hard for one to conceive as it will make one infertile temporarily.
